Hi Project Managers…
Yep this is what I have looked like for the past 24 hours…
The Husband Project is at the editors (where they are undoubtedly marking it up with gallons of red ink right now.)
It actually has been there for over a month, but as soon as that was off, I started working at a fever pace on the next book, The Marriage Project. We are doing TMP as a church starting this Sunday. So the bare bones (like all of you have had on this site) had to be finished and into the church THIS WEEK in order for everyone to have the booklets by this Sunday.
I can’t thank everyone here on this blog for everything they have given to The Husband Project. So many of you have shared so openly. You have to know that you have helped several women, (and marriages…)
Prayer Please
I would love to have your prayers for this weekend. I am preachin’ at my home church this weekend: www.churchonthehill.com and we will be kicking off the whole TMP booklet for everyone to do. Please pray that I will have the right words to say and that all the women of our church (moms or not) will be encouraged.
Love you women, you rock.

Hey ladies – No we didn’t forget about you – however, I am in the final week of writing the book, so apparently posting (and showering) have become optional.
We will be back on the wagon next week – but I have a favor to ask. I have received a couple of great testimonies of how The Husband Project has changed an aspect of women – they have been more intentional about dressing up for their guys. They have thought twice before saying something about their guy that has been less than supportive.
I would love to hear your stories – and fast!!! I want to get all of this into the book in the next day or two.
So, do you have an encouragement for other wives out there? Think of the public service you will be doing (and helping me up my word count!!!)
Send your stories to kathi@kathilipp.comIf I use them you will receive lots of love and a copy of the book!!
If you have not received your prize, it’s my fault.
I was trying to be nice and include a little extra gift for all the winners. Unfortunately, it made the package too “lumpy” (for some of them) and I’ve now had two returned. If you have not received your prize, please e-mail me and I’ll be quick to get another one right out. Sorry! I hope it’s worth waiting for.
Thanks for the grace!
Kathi
Congratulations to Stephanie, our project manager who won this week’s prize, Camy Tang’s book “Only Uni” by submitting the following comment regarding Project 5: Text or Email Some Sweet Nothings. Click here to read more Project 5 comments.
Stephanie says:
My most successful project so far has been– believe it or not– the text messaging. It never occurred to me to send a text message to my own husband! (Then again, I don’t text anyone really… but I digress.) So it really struck my hubby as something out of the ordinary. Not only that, it was a rather long one that included prayer for him in his work & spiritual life; and he was duly impressed with the amount of time and thought I put into it. I felt so good for having blessed him. The bonus came a few weeks later. He had just left for an international business trip & knew that our week would be a tough one at home (3 wee ones). When he arrived at his destination, he sent me a text message (a long one!), letting me know he was safe & wishing us a “successful” time back home. That really blessed my socks off!
To Stephanie: Please contact us at kathi@thehusbandproject.org, so we can send the book, “Only Uni” to you right away.
