Kathi and her best back to basics buddy, Roger Lipp, are taking us back to the basics by helping us establish routines. After a super crazy 12 months, the Lipps are the perfect pair to talk about the importance of routines. Having a habit of good routines helped them to keep up with responsibilities during unexpected circumstances. There are a lot of misconceptions about routines, but the bottom line is when we have good routines, we can avoid decision fatigue and overwhelm. An evening routine takes care of our future self and sets us up for great success the following day. Listen in to learn how an evening routine can:
- Set the tone for your day
- Impact your entire tomorrow
- Take care of your future self
- Help avoid decision fatigue
And just for fun – who steals the covers in your house? Let us know in the comments below!

Hi Kathi … Just finished An Abundant Place. It arrived late w/God’s perfect timing. My mom died (at 94 and very physically and mentally ill) and it was/she was sooo difficult. The recent past and childhood past came to stay in my brain and body for awhile.
Your book and exercises have lifted me up; each day was just the right topic and verse. Thanks to you both for pouring yourselves into the writing so those of us out here could heal a bit. I loved Cheri’s term “hypervigilance,” and now I have a diagnosis, haha. Your chapter on checking into the greenhouse encouraged me to continue fighting (myself, actually) for my healing.
Thank you both. God, continue to bless them!
(if you look us up, it’s my husband’s photographic website, nice stuff)
