Congratulations on your book release! I just heard you ladies on Focus on the Family! I love how you creatively encourage us to retreat AT HOME. Being a farm and ranch wife who works a lot outside and finds the work never ending, I’m always seeking how to runaway from it all, but found myself drawn to creating a space to meet with the Lord as you both have discussed.
Okay, this probably is outside the qualified list, but I would love a lap desk to go on top of the blanket and a cat!! (I actually would be happy with any of the gifts!)
I tag my friend Suzie, who is also is a farm/ranch wife, but has 3 children she homeschools! I think she would like a cozy blanket all her own!
Thank you for your podcast!
The book looks and sounds amazing…can’t wait to check it out! My favorite item would be special pens, but a warm blanket is a must, too! I would tag my sweet friend Deb. Her 16 year old son was hospitalized the two weeks before Christmas and diagnosed Christmas Day (with a really rare disease or a form of leukemia, they were going back and forth). She could use the encouragement and a blanket when spending the night at the hospital. Her faith and joyful spirit is a testament to her trust in the Lord.
I love having a hot cup of coffee when I spend quiet time–since I have it first thing in the morning, I sometimes need some guidance (while caffeinating 😉 so I use a book or devotional guide. Your book would be a great addition! 🙂
I forgot to tag a friend–Katie who has her tea on her porch in a giant Comfy 🙂
I would want my pup with me at my stay-at-home retreat! I would like to tag my sister-in-law, Haley!
I would want a super fuzzy blanket in my stay-at-home retreat! I would like to tag my mom, Kelly!
Honestly, I have a well furnished at home retreat where I do my quiet time. The only missing ingredient is this new book. ? I might add that I am VERY selective with how I spend my time and the only 2 podcasts I’m subscribed to and listen regularly to are Grit ‘n Grace with Cheri Gregory and Clutter Free Academy with Kathi Lipp and I’m not even a clutter bug, I’m highly organized. I just love the humor, insights, practical take aways and intellect of these two women so having them both in one place, this devotional, is a win win.
Even though I live in Phoenix, I love me a warm, cozy blanket. I would tag my friend Tami who lives in Wisconsin where it is really cold!
Several years ago during another difficult time of getting away I created mini retreats for myself in my home and town. I love the idea of the devotional and I would most enjoy a fuzzy blanket. My sister#Melissa would be into that as well. Love the practical ideas keep them coming.
Thank you for the encouragement, I love listening to your podcast, my retreat essentials are the Bible, bright colorful pens, and a table, I would love to cozy up in a big comfy chair, but I have to have a flat surface to write on. I would love this for my Sister Kim Jeter, she is in much need of a mini retreat, we could even do it together.
Kathi and Cheri, Congratulations on the release of “An Abundant Place.” The (In)courage Devotional Bible. I would tag my sister.
I loved this show! I too have a place where I go–nice blanket–hot drink–no clock or distractions (unless I bring my phone!)
I have two dear sisters-in-Christ who I walk and pray with–could I enter the give-away and give them the goodies? I couldn’t decide which one to send to –so just send to Mildred Arnold and Katherine Perkins if you pick me–I would forgo my gift–don’t need anything!
Look forward to this podcast each week! Curate the clutter to create a relaxing space!!!! Gotta have the sweet comforts –calm down and focus on Jesus
Just added it for a suggestion for my library to purchase–Love seeing your books on our library shelves!
Hi! Thanks so much for your devotion. My first thing I’d pick would be your book but I do love a good blankie. Mainly, I’d love for my sister, Kathryn to have a copy of this book. She’s going through a hard time right now. She’s still grieving the passing of her mother, her job is stressful and her health isn’t good. I think it’d be special for us to enjoy the book together.
Hellooooo Ladies, I’m sending a link to my friend Amanda Brown who is also my neighbor we are always talking Jesus and try and do challenges together. We both have been on the depressed side and need a Lift me up Jesus pack. I have loved all the books you guys have written keep up the encouragement because not sure how much some of us need it. With all my love
Kathi and Cheri, Congratulations on the release of “An Abundant Place.” I love the phrase, “intentionally curating your focus,” which you used in the podcast. That’s a practice I am currently starting in my life. My favorite essential for a retreat is a pen so that I can jot down phrases which resonate with me like the one above or underscore them directly in the text. I am not familiar with the (In)Courage Bible. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. My dear friend and sister-in-Christ, Gretchen Sipes, would also appreciate this giveaway. Best wishes to both of you!
