My 17 year old daughter. She has made several bad decisions and I think I need to draw the chalklines and let her suffer the consequences of her decisions. It is so easy to try to jump in and make things better…but she has to learn to trust God and follow His will for her life.
What a great podcast! I need to learn how to better draw chalk lines with my daughters!
God Bless your ministries!

I know that I need to draw chalk lines in the relationship I have with my daughter who is a senior in high school right now. In listening to the podcast I could really see how I’m trying to do God’s job so much of the time AND I need to stop saving her from consequences. This podcast was much needed truth that really had to be spoken into my life. Knowing when to step in and when to allow her to find her own way is hard. Really hard. Our relationship has had a lot of downs and some ups. We both have a lot of growing to do but I can only grow me.
I have been intentional about setting boundaries with people that are toxic…who take digs or make veiled comments to put me down. They are joy robbers. These are not people who are difficult to get along with…they are actually toxic with their words and many others see the same issues. I always say hi but walk away when they start criticizing and gossiping. they drag me down
Such an encouragement! I need to draw chalklines with Facebook and some issues my daughter’s friends are going through. I love that God provides wisdom on when it is not my battle!
