I am saying yes to being a better listener to God’s tugs on my heart and distinguishing it from my own thoughts. But it’s tough!
I’m saying no to all the holiday stress and yes to quiet time with God and with my family.
I am saying yes to time with family. No to unrealistic expectations. And maybe to something new.
I’m saying “no” to over-booking myself and taking on more than I can handle which means I’m saying “yes” to better self-care.
I am saying yes more to activities I enjoy and no to activities that I don’t enjoy or aren’t for a family member. I am also trying to make “yes” activities easier on myself. For example, for Meal Trains, I will now give a gift card to favorite restaurant or buy a premade meal.
Yes to being still…making sure I have time with God…no to the madding crowd
In this time of transition in our lives, I am saying “yes” to more peace and “no” to a self-imposed ideal that I feel I should be living up to.
