Today’s Project: Get a food treat for him that he’s not required to share with you or any other family member.
It’s time to think about food, glorious food.
My husband goes positively bonkers over a candy called Cherry Sours. As a leftover from his Florida childhood (from, what I can tell, was spent largely at Walt Disney World) he was first introduced to this candy and has great memories associated with them. The candy in question is a little red sugar ball – and my guy is desperately, inexplicably in love with mass quantities of them.
Which totally confounds me. They taste like the stuff your dental hygienist uses to rinse your mouth out after a particularly painful and thorough cleaning.
But, he loves ‘em, so I search for Cherry Sours whenever I can. They can be hard to locate, so when I do, I try to stock up, without Roger knowing.
When he’s having a rough time at work or I want to say congratulations for a job well done, I break out the Cherry Sours.
Is there a treat that you personally find revolting that your husband absolutely loves? Get it for him, letting him know through this small act, “This is all for you, baby…” (and if you truly don’t like the treat, he won’t feel obligated to share.)
Even if you do love it, insist that it’s all for him. Don’t let him share with you. This is something special that does not require him to share with his neighbor. (It’s perfectly acceptable to get a matching treat for yourself.)
Stumped for ideas? Here are some thoughts:
•Get his favorite pint of Ben & Jerry’s.
•Is there a certain cut of meat that your husband loves? How about having the butcher cut something just for him?
•Learn how to make his favorite dish from childhood.
•My guy loves the smell of baking almost as much as he enjoys eating the treat. Have some brownies in the oven when he gets home from work or working out. (I know, it negates the workout, but isn’t chocolate always worth it?)

My husband is our sole provider as I am a stay at home mom. So he comes home from work, immediately goes on dad duty to our son and doting husband mode to his pregnant wife (me). He is also taking a full semester of college courses on top of this all- so today I made sure he had all of his favorite snacks just for him when he goes into study mode tonight!
My husband loves Red Hots! Luckily they are not hard to find!!!
My hubby loves eclairs, but since he’s eating healthier right now, I’m making him a small box of dark chocolate-covered strawberries. Good for his heart…and he doesn’t have to share (although I’m totally sneaking one when I make them!)
Had some fresh, home made snicker doodles and a pot of coffee waiting for him when he got home from work. Sent the kiddos outside to play so he could kick his feet up and enjoy uninterrupted. Truly enjoyed watching him unwind from his long day and enjoy his treat. 🙂
I went out and bought him his fav Rocky Road ice cream. It has to be a certain kind of Rocky Road too. Only the kind with real marshmallow and not a marshmallow swirl is good enough for my hottie!
Country style ribs in the crock pot, allllll for him! :o)
I made him cupcakes with cookie dough frosting.

Ok Kathi, you are going to be proud! So my husband comes home from the store today, of course with a treat for himself! I was bummed and felt lime it was silly to make him something. But then I git inventive. He biught himself.trail mix that had nuts, chocolate chips, mocca covered pecans, and darj chocolate espresso beans. So I made up a pab of brownies, chopped some of the nuts, and sprinkled the other goodies on top. Baked it and told him he didnt have to share…and the kids cant have any because of the espresso! He was so excited! Thanks for the idea!
And please excuse all the terrible typos! My phone is not so smart!

I brought my husband a Shamrock Shake to work today!
I got him his favorit3e ice cream, but in frozen yogurt, so he won’t feel guilty about eating it and messing up his diet 🙂
This is such a great and simple way to say “I’m thinking of you”. I especially love to sneak these treats into his lunchbox with a little note.
I will get him dark chocolate gelato (while I eat frozen kefir).
I was going to buy him his favorite Girl Scout cookies, Samoas, but he beat me to the door. But I will let him have the whole box to himself!

I went home and baked him his favorite flavor, and boy did I make brownie points! Yay me! I started making him one for each birthday.
When our first son was born, 15 yrs ago, I, for some reason, just never took the time for cheesecakes anymore.
We were watching a commercial the other day and my husband piped up saying, “Your mom used to make me cheesecakes all the time.” Welp, I’m headed to the store this morning to buy my ingredients. I can’t believe how excited I am to surprise him with this! It’s like the first time all over
